Neurologic Conditions
Neurologic symptoms such as headaches, memory changes, and numbness can have many possible causes. Our practice provides initial evaluation and management of common neurologic concerns and coordinates specialist care when needed.
Headaches & Migraines
Headaches and migraines can range from occasional discomfort to recurrent symptoms that interfere with work and everyday activities.
Evaluation focuses on the pattern and severity of headaches, associated symptoms, triggers, medications, and other medical conditions. Treatment may include lifestyle changes and medications for prevention or relief of symptoms. New, severe, or unusual headaches may require additional evaluation or diagnostic testing.
Mild Cognitive Impairment
Mild cognitive impairment (MCI) describes noticeable changes in memory or thinking that are greater than expected with normal aging but may not significantly interfere with independent daily activities.
Early evaluation can help identify potentially reversible causes and determine whether additional cognitive testing, laboratory studies, imaging, or specialist evaluation is appropriate.
Memory Concerns
Forgetfulness and other memory changes can result from many factors, including medications, sleep problems, mood disorders, vitamin deficiencies, thyroid disorders, medical conditions, normal aging, or neurocognitive disease.
Our office can perform an initial medical and cognitive evaluation and recommend additional testing or specialist consultation when appropriate.
Peripheral Neuropathy
Peripheral neuropathy occurs when nerves outside the brain and spinal cord become damaged or dysfunctional. Symptoms commonly include numbness, tingling, burning sensations, pain, or weakness, particularly in the feet and hands.
Diabetes is a common cause, but neuropathy may have many other causes. Evaluation focuses on identifying and treating the underlying condition whenever possible while helping manage symptoms.
