Coronary Artery Disease
Coronary artery disease (CAD) develops when plaque accumulates within the arteries that supply blood to the heart. It is a major cause of heart attack and other cardiovascular complications.
Management may include monitoring blood pressure and cholesterol, controlling diabetes, smoking cessation, nutrition and exercise recommendations, medication management, and coordination with cardiology when necessary.
